Global Peer Ambassador Program

As an international student, study abroad participant, or a student interested in international education, you are invited to apply for the Global Peer Ambassador Program administered by the URI International Center.

Interntional students and peer ambassadors gather as a group at the North Woods Challenge Course.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote international education across campus, provide cross-cultural experiences, and offer an intercultural student leadership experience that fosters professional and personal development.
  • Work closely with URI’s International Center staff participating in specialized global education programming.
  • Be a resource and connection to campus international students, helping them navigate in class as well as on and off-campus.
  • Promote study abroad as a valuable experience that helps students achieve academic, personal, professional, and cultural growth.

What You Can Gain:

Requirements & Time Commitment:

  • Must be enrolled at URI for the academic year
  • Professionally represent the International Center
  • Be able to commit a minimum of 50 hours to the Global Peer Ambassador Program
  • Lead a student event
  • Write a short reflection paper between 500-1000 words
