About DDP
URI is honored to host this special event at one of Seoul’s most significant cultural landmarks, the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP; 동대문디자인플라자). Opened in 2014, DDP is a major public complex that has become a central hub for exhibitions, conferences, fashion shows, and cultural programming. It was developed as part of Seoul’s vision to strengthen its role as a global design capital and remains closely tied to the city’s fashion and creative industries. With its expansive exhibition halls, event spaces, and cultural facilities, DDP serves not only as a venue for international exchange but also as a public gathering place where the community engages with new ideas in design, culture, and innovation.
