Biography

Hi, my name is Emmanuel Oyewole. I am an international student from Nigeria and a first-year graduate student in Biological Oceanography at the Graduate School of Oceanography (GSO), University of Rhode Island. I previously earned a Master of Arts in Marine Affairs from URI and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries and Aquaculture from Osun State University, Osogbo, Nigeria.

I am currently a Research Assistant in the Ocean Ecogeochemistry Lab under the supervision of Prof. Kelton McMahon. My research focuses on ontogenetic movement of Jonah crab in Southern New England, using stable isotope analysis to better understand habitat use and movement patterns across life stages.

Through my academic training and research experience, I am deeply interested in the intersections of marine science, fisheries management, and collaborative, community-engaged research.
