Orientation is open to all incoming Fall 2026 graduate students and those who started their studies in the Spring and Summer 2025. This comprehensive Orientation program will give you information and strategies you will need to complete Graduate School successfully and happily. The deans and staff will answer new students’ most frequently asked questions and offer tips on professional skills, funding, and resources. The orientation is in two parts, virtual before you arrive and in person the day before classes begin.

The virtual portion is a combination of self-paced online modules and a synchronous online Q&A. This will provide you with key information for your success and form connections with key Graduate School staff. The deans and staff will answer new students’ most frequently asked questions and offer tips on professional skills, funding, and resources. Matriculated students will receive an email invitation to access the online orientation modules in Brightspace.

The in person portion will welcome you to campus, provide critical information to launch your success in your program and an overview of the many resources available to you around campus. The event will be fun and engaging and give you the opportunity to meet many other graduate students.
