Biography

Alex is an award-winning documentary photographer and filmmaker in Rhode Island. He has worked at the University of Rhode Island’s Graduate School of Oceanography, Inner Space Center, since 2009 where he began as an undergraduate volunteer. Alex’s background is in film and media studies from URI (’10). He has a passion for media theory, the craft and science of storytelling, inclusive science communication, mindfulness, art, and our relationship to one another and the environment.
