Biography

Hi there, I’m a fourth-year graduate student at URI in the BES Evolution and Marine Biology program, working in the Putnam Lab. My research focuses on the resilience of tropical corals and how their physiological and transcriptomic responses shift under heat stress and environmental priming. I’m originally from Barbados, and as an international student and a person of color at URI, creating and supporting inclusive spaces is something that feels personal and important to me. I’m excited to be a DIBP facilitator and is looking forward to building community, sharing stories, and learning from each other’s experiences together.
