Biography

Michael Dane Moore is the founder of Core Narrative, a boutique consulting firm.  He is an associate of Sokrates Partners management consulting and was co-founder of Material Reputation Risk Management.  In these roles, he has served Microsoft, Refinitiv (a division of the London Stock Exchange Group) and Keeeb, among others.

Before becoming an entrepreneur, Dr. Moore was Senior Vice President, Communications for Thomson Reuters. In that role, he was responsible for Thomsonreuters.com, global employee communications, corporate publications such as the company’s award-winning annual reports, and various social media initiatives. He also led executive communications for three CEOs.

His previous positions included directing worldwide internal communications for IBM; managing communications for McKinsey & Company’s West Coast Practice, where he supported clients in the media, healthcare and energy sectors; and serving as a communications analyst for the RAND Corporation.

Dr. Moore also taught management communications at the Anderson Graduate School of Management and was an advisor for their MBA field study teams.  He holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of California, Los Angeles, and serves on the advisory boards of URI’s Harrington School of Communication and Media, and the College of Charleston’s Communication Department.
