Biography

Donna began her career at URI in 2009. She is currently an organizer for the National Education Association of Rhode Island for the ESP-URI union and secretary, district representative and delegate.

She supports green energy. Sol Power installed 37 solar panels on her rooftop 8 years ago. She has two rain barrels, which she uses to water her vegetable garden, a compost pile and recycling bins. Her mower and trimmer are powered by battery. She belongs to the Brandon Family Farm’s CSA (Community Supported Agriculture).

She is a member of many local and international organizations. She is a pescatarian. She enjoys being in the outdoors, keeping her bird feeders and bird bath filled, boating, snorkeling, reading fiction and non-fiction, harvesting for quahogs, reading, frisbee, horseshoes, walking and traveling to Maine and Pennsylvania to visit her children.

She is a graduate of Katharine Gibbs School.
