Biography

Edward Quinlan is a URI Journalism alumnus (’76). He has held several executive communications positions including those at North Miami General Hospital (FL), Kent County Hospital, Gilbane Building Company, and the National Hockey League (Washington Capitals). He also served as press secretary to U.S. Sen. John H. Chafee and was the President/CEO of the Hospital Association of Rhode Island until his retirement in early 2014. Edward serves on numerous public and private local, regional and national professional boards and councils in communications, healthcare, business, pro and college sports.
