Biography
Jay Spach is Senior Vice President of Organizational Development at Thomson Reuters, having joined Thomson in 1993 in the newspaper group as Director Of Reengineering. In his years with Thomson Reuters, Jay has led the transformations of major business units and divisions. He co-designed and implemented the comprehensive program for implementing organizational transformation and teamwork known as Pathway to Prime at Thomson Newspapers. He oversaw change management in the transformation of the HR function, as well as the Finance transformation that placed the entire company on a single instance of SAP and moved to a shared service environment globally.
Jay also played a leadership role in the integration of Reuters, the largest information company integration in history, in 2007. Jay leads a team of professionals responsible for organizational design, executive alignment, business team effectiveness, process improvement, and major change management across Thomson Reuters globally.
Jay has over 25 years of consulting, change management and facilitation experience in banking, financial services, manufacturing, and publishing. Prior to that, Jay and his wife were Broadway singers, actors, and associate producers. Jay holds a B.A. from Holy Cross College, and an M.B.A. from Clark University.
Jay is a founding member of the Global Benchmarking Council, a member of the Advisory Board of the Clark University Graduate School of Management, and serves as Board Secretary of The Acting Company, the nation’s oldest national repertory touring company.
He lives in Staten Island, NY with his wife, Mary Dale.
