History Rhymes: Ethics, Human Rights, and Our Future in Space

Erika Nesvold has a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and has performed astrophysics research at NASA Goddard, SETI, and the Carnegie Institution for Science. She is currently an astrophysics engineer for Universe Sandbox, a physics-based space simulator and video game. She is the cofounder and executive director of The JustSpace Alliance, a nonprofit organization that advocates for an ethical future in space. She is also the creator and host of the podcast Making New Worlds, the author of Off-Earth: Ethical Questions and Quandaries for Living in Outer Space and, and a co-editor of Reclaiming Space: Progressive and Multicultural Visions of Space Exploration.
