Lily Rosa is the recipient of the 2022 Academic Excellence Award

Lily Rosa of Wakefield, RI received the 2022 Academic  Excellence award for Health Studies.  

Lily has been an outstanding representative of the Department of Health Studies. She graduated in December 2021 with a B.S. in health studies and a B.A. in Italian. During her time at URI, Lily worked to promote health and well-being. She was a founding member of the Peer Health Educator program at URI Health Services and of the URI Public Health Club. She also completed an internship with Assistant Professor of International Development, Dr. Lisa Hiwasaki, examining international agreements for sustainable development. Lily is presently serving in FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) Corps, a team-based service program that provides the opportunity to serve communities impacted by disaster. Lily’s future plans include earning a master’s degree in public health. Congratulations Lily!
