Body Pump #134 Launch

Don’t miss the upcoming BodyPump #134 Launch! This class will replicate the movements and techniques of the original LesMills™ barbell class, being incredibly effective at fat burning. With low weights and high repetition movements, the program is intended to allow for an effective and intense workout. Welcome to all experience levels, this class is the perfect opportunity to start off your semester strong and try something new or familiar.

The LesMills™ barbell class is a science-based, choreographed workout routine that targets the entire body, allowing for a full-body workout within just an hour. The program uses a variety of equipment, ranging from light to medium weights, and implements high repetitions to allow for maximum fat burning in an effective and muscle-building way. Led by LesMills™ instructors, the program is instructional. If you have not lifted weights before, this is the perfect way to be introduced to this type of workout in a low-stress environment with trained instructors. 

BodyPump #134 will make its initial debut on January 27th at the Anna Fascitelli Fitness and Wellness Center’s group exercise studio. As there are limited spots available, be sure to register through IMLeagues. Registration will open January 20th at noon. While there will only be a few sessions of this specific class throughout the semester. BodyPump+, a similar course, will run weekly. With new movements, songs, and a high-energy environment, you are sure to get in an effective and fun workout. Be sure to come to class 5 to 10 minutes with a water bottle and activewear.

Challenge Yourself

The beginning of the semester can sometimes be overwhelming. With resolutions, goals for the new year, and new schedules, it is easy to lose motivation with an overload of things to get done. Workout classes includingBodyPump Launch is a great way to get in a quick, productive workout that is included in your tuition. Campus Rec creates initiatives like these to make sure that students can carve out time for themselves and engage in activities that are beneficial to both their emotional and physical well-being. 

BodyPump #134 is free to all students and the perfect way to get in a short, yet effective workout. This class is not just designed for those who are experienced weightlifters, but targets all URI students, allowing for new learning opportunities. Whether you are new to weight lifting and workout classes or you have been lifting for years, this class will prove to be worthwhile and will teach new exercises.
