Choose from a wide range of programs in our state-of-the-art facilities, offering everything from competitive team sports to group fitness classes to individualized personal training, so you can be where you are, and find your own stride.

The Mackal-Tootell Complex – Spring Term Hours
Anna Fascitelli Fitness & Wellness Center – Spring Term Hours

Monday, Feb 19 – revised hours

Anna Fascitelli and Mackal-Tootell Complex will open at 12:00 noon, in honor of the President’s Day Holiday.

Aquatic Update:

Attention Swimmers! Feb 15-19 URI Tootell Aquatic Center is hosting the New England Interscholastic Swimming and Diving Association Division III Championship (NEISDA)

Thursday, Feb 15 – No Community or Adult Swim 6:30-9:30pm
Note: Learn to swim is running as scheduled
Friday, Feb 16 – CLOSED
Saturday, Feb 17 – CLOSED
Sunday, Feb 18 – CLOSED
Monday, Feb 19 – snow option for meet and will be used as backup time if weather cancels any portion of the meet.

URI Student Programs

FEB 22 -NIRSA Rec Day –JOIN US on National Rec Day at Anna Fascitelli, Mackal and the Memorial Union. 9am-5pm take the “Cycle Challenge” on our new bikes – complete the challenge and get a shirt! 5-7pm take the “Have a Heart Challenge” at Anna Fascitelli – complete the challenge and get a shirt! 7-9pm Take your shot at the Billiards Tournament – singles/8-ball – you guessed it – winners get a shirt! register for the Billiards Tournament on All other events are drop in, so JOIN US!

Feb 26-March 2 InsideOut Week – JOIN US  learn to love you from the “inside out” with various events, activities and workshops focused on body image, stereo types, perceptions, reflection, meditation, mental health, wellness, fitness, preventative health, relationships and LGBTQ. A collaborative with the URI community, receive a passport, participate in 5 events and receive a SHIRT!

Intramural sports, one of the most popular programs in Campus Recreation, gives students, faculty, and staff, the opportunity to come together for competition and camaraderie. click here to register your team

Dynamic Stretch & Balance -Tuesday 9:00-9:45am
Work with a certified trainer for a full body stretch and balance work
Strength for Life – Thursday 9:00-9:45am
Work with a certified trainer for a full body strength routine that focuses on full range of motion exercises and increasing your mobility.
