Join Us! Live From the Volvo Ocean Race
March 20, 2018  • 7 p.m. Edwards Auditorium, Kingston Campus

The world’s best sailors. 45,000 nautical miles. Four oceans. Eight months. Don’t miss this chance to experience life at the extreme with a live broadcast from the exciting Volvo Ocean Race.

Current team members will join us via live video from the South Pacific Ocean, between stops in New Zealand and Brazil. Sail Newport’s Brad Read will emcee, and former ocean race team members will be in the house to provide commentary.
The Volvo Ocean Race is a grueling, round-the-world sailing race that tests the endurance of the world’s best sailors. The sailors and race boats will make 10 stops during their course, but their only North America stop will be in Newport in May.
This event is free and open to the public and includes a preview of official Newport Stopover events planned for May. Details. Visit the Volvo Ocean Race website for race information and daily live videos. Photo: Amory Ross
