This year’s Balance Challenge is right around the corner! Taking place March 29th through April 25th, Campus Rec will be challenging students to attend mind, body, cycle, and Group Exercise classes. Anna Fascitelli Fitness and Wellness Center, along with Mackal Field House, will have a variety of Group Ex classes for students to attend. Balance Challenge encourages students to try new things in their final month on campus.
Balance Challenge is a month-long program and is free to all students. To participate, you must attend 4 mind/body classes, 4 group exercise classes, and 4 cycle classes. Grab a challenge card from Anna Fascitelli Fitness and Wellness Center and mark off each corresponding class that you attend to track progress. If you complete all 12 classes, return your card at the front desk of Anna Fascitelli Fitness and Wellness Center to receive a Balance Challenge T-Shirt. The initiative is intended to motivate students to attend classes they otherwise would not have and try out a variety of wellness classes.
Group Ex classes are a great way to explore healthy habits in a supportive, energetic environment. There is such a wide variety of classes offered on campus, ranging from yoga, pilates, barre, BodyPump, zumba, cycle, and so much more. There is truly something for everyone, no matter your preferences or experiences with working out. Group Ex instructors create their classes to be fun and engaging all semester, but especially amp up the excitement during the Balance Challenge. By incorporating fun pop-ups that involve your favorite artists and unique workout classes, this month will have especially enjoyable and high-energy classes.

Balancing Life
It is called Balance Challenge to put an emphasis on the many facets of well-being highlighted through Campus Recreation. Mind and body classes, typically yoga or meditation, focus on both physical and emotional well-being, allowing students to reset and move their bodies in a relaxing way. Cycle classes are a bit more physically intense and high-energy. With upbeat songs and packed classes, you are sure to get in a good and dynamic workout and leave feeling energized. Group Ex classes, such as pilates, barre, BodyPump, F45, are also more upbeat and energizing. With Balance Challenge, you can engage in multiple areas of fitness and wellness.
Balance Challenge allows students to foster healthy habits, all the while balancing social life. The hecticness of finals and the end of the semester approaching can be all consuming and chaotic. Balance Challenge is designed for students, especially during our final month, to better our physical and emotional well-being. Typically ranging from 45 minutes to an hour, Group Ex classes are a quick and effective way to get in a workout. Beginning just next week, be sure to sign up for classes to foster well-being and win a T-Shirt!
