Travel and accommodations

For directions to URI and campus maps:

Visit URI

If you plan to stay in the area overnight, the South County Tourism Council has a comprehensive list of local accommodations. Many campus visitors stay at the Holiday Inn or Hampton Inn of South Kingston due to their proximity to campus.

Parking at URI

Please view the following web site and register for a parking pass prior to arrival: uri.edu/visit/parking-information. If you are unable to do this, you will need to stop at the Robert J. Higgins Welcome Center when you arrive on campus and arrange your parking details.

As there is a significant amount of construction on campus, please advised arrive early to find parking. Review the current parking map here. If the Briar Lane Lot (#1 on the map) is full/inaccessible, Parking Services has advised that you park in the Boss Lot (#27 on the map). Most visitor parking lots are about a 10-15 minute walk to the Memorial Union.

If you need to unload materials at the Memorial Union prior to parking, drive to the Ranger Hall security gate located on Ranger Road. We will have a staff member at the gate from 9.30am-11.00am to let you through. We will also have staff available at the Memorial Union to help you unload your materials and carry them to the exhibition space.

Set-up

If you arrive at 10:00a.m., you will have ample time to bring your promotional materials to your exhibit area and arrange your display.

Please bring your promotional materials with you on the day of the event. Typically between 1,000-1,300 students visit the event. If you have any additional promotional materials left over at the end of the fair, just leave them at the table and the Office of International Education & National Student Exchange will be happy to keep them for our resource room.

Use the map and table key below to determine where you will be located the day of the event and go directly to your table upon arrival. Table placement is already determined, please do not relocate to another space. We will have name tags waiting for program representatives at their tables.
