About

The Interprofessional Team Education and Evaluation project at the University of Rhode Island is a funded projects from the RI Executive Office of Health and Human Services as part of its Health System Transformation Project.

Project Priorities

We have identified four priority areas for action:

  1. advancing visibility of and advocating for IPE and IPP
  2. dedicated time, personnel, and resources for IPE/IPP
  3. within-institution collaboration
  4. collaboration across institutions

We plan to achieve these priorities through engaging through populations of interest: 1.) health professions students, 2.) health professions faculty, and 3.) staff/preceptors from community partners

Mission and Vision

The mission of University of Rhode Island’s Interprofessional Education and Practice Initiative is to develop a culture of interprofessional excellence among faculty, students, and community health providers through effective education and practice that help prepare health professionals to meet the “Triple Aim” – reduced costs, improved patient outcomes, and improved population health.
