Remote Sensing Modeling in Simulation of the Earth Surface Temperature

thermale

  • Land surface temperature (LST) is generally defined as the skin temperature of the ground. For the bare soil surface, LST is the soil surface temperature; for dense vegetated ground, LST can be viewed as the canopy surface temperature of the vegetation; and in sparse vegetated ground, it is the average temperature of the vegetation canopy, vegetation body and soil surface under the vegetation. Considering of the spatial resolution of satellite remote sensing data, the LST in remote sensing can be defined as the average surface temperature of the ground under the pixel scale mixed with different fractions of surface types.
