Multiscale and Multiphysics Mechanics Lab

The Multiscale and Multiphysics Mechanics Lab seeks to understand the governing mechanisms that control the behavior of engineering materials and structural systems across multiple length and time scales. By integrating advanced experimentation, multiscale characterization, computational mechanics, and physics-based modeling, we examine the coupled processes governing the behavior of materials and structures across environmental, mechanical, thermal, and extreme loading conditions. The resulting insights support predictive materials design and the development of durable, resilient, sustainable, and high-performance engineering systems.
