Motor Control Summer School 2024 (MCSS-2024) took place in Ustron, Poland on September 14-17, 2024. Three members of the Motor Control and Rehabilitation Lab Tyler Foster (Ph.D. Student), David Ornstein (Ph.D. Student), and Michal Pawlowski (Research Scholar), were selected from a pool of applicants to attend. MCSS consisted of interactive lectures and educational experiences led by experts in the field of motor control. Following MCSS, Dr. Furmanek and Dr. D’Andrea (from the Kinesiology department) joined the three members of the Motor Control and Rehabilitation lab to attend VI Motor Control Conference 2024: From theory to application in Wisla, Poland from September 18-20, 2024. The MC conference brought together leading academic scientists, researchers and scholars in the domain of interest from around the world. Discussed topics included: neural basis of movement, Impaired motor control and rehabilitation, postural control and locomotion, motor learning and variability of movement, perception, cognition and action in virtual reality, reaching and grasping control, aging and motor control. The MC conference is held every four years. We had an excellent opportunity to share and discuss our research with researchers from around the globe. It was an excellent opportunity for us to learn.
