Susanne and Alex attended the 2024 Ocean Sciences Meeting (OSM) in New Orleans – the largest gathering of ocean scientists in the world – where they presented research, learned lots, and made many great connections. Alex presented a poster showing results from previous research, titled “Comparing the in situ and ex situ microbiome of three Bermuda Coral species for microbial composition and abundance.” She poses with her poster in the attached photo. Susanne, as the president of the American Society for Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO), acted as a representative for the ASLO organization and gave Rickie’s oral presentation for her (Rickie sadly had COVID so could not attend), titled “Environmental and biological indicators of mixotrophy in a productive continental shelf.” Looking forward to the next OSM in Glasgow!
