After spending 5 hot days at Seattle’s Pier 91 mobilizing on the R/V Revelle and R/V Sally Ride the ships are off for their joint venture at ocean station PAPA (145W 50N). This joint NASA and NSF campaign is one of the major oceanographic research expeditions in recent history.
