Kate Cimini is the agriculture, housing and homelessness reporter for The Salinas Californian, a local paper in the “Salad Bowl of the World.” She graduated from the Medill School of Journalism in 2018 with a master’s degree in national security journalism and soon joined The Californian as its enterprise reporter. She has since led the newsroom’s partnerships with CalMatters and Catchlight Local, examining economic inequality and the state’s housing crisis. @k_cimini.
