Dr. Ramaswamy, director of NOAA’s Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory and a central figure in climate science, described the ways natural and human activities have forced the climate system, the processes and interactions that govern the sensitivity of the system, and impacts from regional to global scales.
