Biography

Erin has worked for the University of Rhode Island for over 16 years. She began her professional career in research (Lyme Disease, sleep apnea, oncology), transitioned into experiential education and is excited to be bringing her unique skill set to the Metcalf Institute. Erin holds a BS in Wildlife Biology, a MA in Adult Education and a certificate in Science Writing. As a science enthusiast, she hopes to continue her learning journey by challenging traditional assumptions, making science more accessible and celebrating the beauty of the scientific world. She is a native Rhode Islander who loves spending time with her husband and two children.
