Biography

Jeniffer Solis is an environment and energy reporter for the Nevada Current, a nonprofit news outlet focused on state-level policy in the States Newsroom network.  She graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in late 2017 with a bachelor’s in journalism and media studies. She’s received top honors for feature writing from the Nevada Press Association and is currently a 2022 National Press Foundation “Widening the Pipeline” Fellow. Solis is also a member of the Society of Environmental Journalists, where she was chosen as a 2023 SEJ Diversity Fellow.
