Tom Jones is an award-winning television news and online journalist and investigative producer with NBC 5 Chicago’s Consumer Investigative team. He grew up on California’s central coast, where he started his broadcast journalism career in 2005, moving to NBC 7 San Diego (KNSD-TV) to supervise investigative and consumer teams. His notable coverage included revelations about local water billing disparities and rampant mismanagement of Public Utilities staff and finances.

Jones also contributed to NBC Chicago’s recently released documentary ‘The Lost Story of Emmett Till: The Universal Child’.
