ANCHOR Fellowship

Applications for the 2026 Advancing Naval Careers Through Higher-Ed Outreach and Research (ANCHOR) Fellowship will open in November 2025.

ANCHOR Fellowships are open to U.S. citizen undergraduate engineering students in their sophomore through senior years. The Fellowship is a paid summer opportunity for students to gain experience in research labs.

Overview

  • The program runs from May through August (exact dates TBD) during summer 2026.
  • Fellows will work 30 hours per week while receiving a stipend of $6000.
  • On-campus housing and food are provided.

Who is Eligible to Apply?

To participate in this program, students must:

  • Be U.S. citizens
  • Pass a background check
  • Complete mandatory training
  • Be undergraduates in their sophomore, junior, or senior year

Fellows will be matched with a faculty member to work on a National Institute for Undersea Vehicle Technology (NIUVT) research project. Successful candidates must be in good academic standing and should possess a strong interest in naval sciences and research.
