Sue Kennedy is a Communications Specialist for the U.S. Coastal Program at the University of Rhode Island (URI) Coastal Resources Center (CRC), providing communications support as well to the Rhode Island Sea Grant College Program, located at URI. In her two decades at CRC, she has provided writing and editing expertise, along with public outreach and media relations for the coastal program, with its focuses on Capable Communities, Healthy Habitats, and Sustainable Seafood. Prior to her work at CRC, she served in reporter and editor capacities at several community newspapers in Rhode Island and also worked for the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation. Kennedy holds an M.A. and a B.A. in English and sits on the City of Warwick Conservation & Wildlife Commission.
