As URI becomes a recognized center for offshore renewable energy research, students have access to unique, real-world experiences and the most current knowledge in the field.
The University of Rhode Island trains its students about offshore renewable energy and ocean spatial planning through its focused academic and certificate programs.
They are building the skills they need in engineering, research, planning and policy, trades, and business management to prepare for careers in clean energy.
Certificate in Energy Economics and Policy
This Certificate offers intensive training in energy economics, management, and policy. Topics cover energy management issues from the individual building scale, the microgrid, and the national and international levels.
URI Energy Fellows
The URI Energy Fellows Program serves as the premier talent pipeline for energy companies and organizations. The program places students with industry mentors to work on real-world projects which provides them with intensive professional development training and opportunities to network regionally.
The Center for Career and Experiential Education (CCEE) helps students think about their individual skills, values, and interests in relation to their academic work and professional goals. Career education staff advise students as they choose a path, build their resumes, and apply for jobs and internships.Visit CCEE
