Tyson Bottenus

Tyson Bottenus is a writer, sailor, and cyclist based in Providence, Rhode Island. For seven years, he worked for Sailors for the Sea Powered by Oceana, an ocean conservation organization based in Newport, Rhode Island that works towards increasing biodiversity and abundance within the oceans winning policy victories in the countries that govern much of the world’s marine life. He is currently working towards a M.A. in Marine Affairs.

Since September 2020, Tyson has been working with the Offshore Renewable Energy & Blue Economy Team at the URI Coastal Resources Center to further increase stakeholder engagement with the Block Island Wind Farm.
