Katie is a Senior Policy Analyst supporting the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Office of National Marine Sanctuaries. In her current role, Katie serves as the National Advisory Council Coordinator supporting community-based sanctuary advisory councils across the country. Prior to working with the Office of National Marine Sanctuaries, Katie served as the Assistant Director of Community Engagement for the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana. Before working in the marshes of Louisiana, Katie was pursuing her Masters of Arts in Marine Affairs from the University of Rhode Island (URI).

While in graduate school, Katie served as the Marine Policy Fellow for Senator Sheldon Whitehouse and the Shoreline Access Manager for Rhode Island Sea Grant.
