Caitlin O’Mara works in Marine Affairs and Permitting at Orsted Offshore North America. Orsted is a Danish offshore wind developer that is currently ranked the most sustainable company in the world by Corporate Knights’ Global 100 sustainability index. As a Marine Affairs Coordinator, she consults with maritime stakeholders to further promote the development of offshore wind farms in the United States. Within the Permitting department, Caitlin reviews post-construction monitoring plans for Block Island Wind Farm – the first offshore wind farm in the United States.

Caitlin recently started a graduate program through the University of Denver for a Master’s degree in Environmental Policy and Management, with a concentration in Energy and Sustainability. This degree will build upon the knowledge learned through her undergraduate degree in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics. During her time at URI, she also received a certificate in Energy Economics and Policy.
