Jared Mattern is a Project Consultant at Offshore Construction Associates, a specialist consultancy focused exclusively on offshore wind. He is part of a team with global expertise and provides technical and management advice to many of the of the largest developers in the industry. His recent experience includes transportation and installation modeling of offshore construction techniques, optimizing logistics to maximize value from use of assets with costs in excess of 0.5MUSD per day. Considering all asset types (Foundations, Cables and Wind Turbines) against multiple installation concepts, Jared and his team were able to identify a number of viable solutions for each project. The work also enabled Client project team to more fully understand the risks, impacts and opportunities of their choices and helped them to deliver maximum value to the widest possible range of stakeholders.

Jared graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering and a minor in Engineering Entrepreneurship from URI. Within Ocean Engineering he focused on the Ocean Renewable Energy and Offshore Structures tracks giving him the unique set of skills to enter the rapidly emerging offshore wind industry here in U.S.
