URI served on a steering committee for Flinders University during its research design, development and application process for funding to conduct submerged landscapes archaeology in the Pilbra region of Northwest Australia. Benjamin, an underwater archaeologist, collaborated with URI on a paleocultural landscapes project, funded by the U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, for more than six years.
