The survey design is intended to provide representative characterization of EMF levels along the sea2shore cable as well as a robust data set for statistical analysis of possible effects on marine organisms. EMF surveys are being conducted at nominal ½ km to 1-km line spacing along the cable routes based on analysis of previous geological analyses. Measurements of electric field, magnitude and frequency, and magnetic field intensity are being conducted at each survey transect.
