This ongoing project experiments with decolonial ethnographic methods to explore the sociocultural effects of renewable energy transitions, utilizing the New England transition to offshore wind as a primary case study. As the region adapts to changing energy systems and environmental conditions, the purpose of this research is to learn from the present practices of transition to inform future transitions and to interrupt the processes in which certain members of our coastal society are repeatedly marginalized.
