Biography

Ms. Kanaczet leads the College of Pharmacy’s accredited education and professional development programs serving alumni, preceptors and other regional health professionals. She has also led the university’s effort to achieve cooperation and innovation in the area of inter-professional continuing education along with faculty in three health colleges. Ms. Kanaczet is the principal investigator on multiple healthcare workforce development training grants including a Real Jobs RI Partnership, Transforming Health in Rhode Island, with the state of RI’s Department of Labor and Training and also facilitates the Home and Community-Based Services Training grant from the RI Executive Office of Health and Human Services. These projects establish public private partnerships with healthcare organizations and aim to positively impact workforce sustainability, career laddering and upskilling of the healthcare workforce. Ms. Kanaczet teaches principles of adult education in the college’s teaching certificate program to Rhode Island’s Pharmacy Residents and Fellows. She is Chair of the Certified Healthcare CPD Professional (CHCP) Commission of the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions. Ms. Kanaczet was appointed to the RI Board of Pharmacy by Governor Dan McKee in 2023 and is the 2024 Administrative Excellence Award Recipient presented by the URI Foundation and Alumni Engagement.
