Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, DPT student Ken Vinacco (’21) took matters into his own hands by raising money for two organizations, Rhode Island Food Bank and MS Dream Center. Ken has a connection to both organizations, first with the Rhode Island Food Bank, he values the local community and understands the essential need to feed one’s families, which can be difficult during the current pandemic. He has a personal connection to the MS Dream Center, as it has helped his mother, who was diagnosed with MS in 2005, and others by providing direct support for people living with MS.
Ken ran a 55 mile run across the state of Rhode Island to fulfill his desire to help those in need during this time. He started on April 23rd at the northern border of the State and made his way down to the Towers in Narragansett on April 26th.
Ken raised over $6,000 for the two organizations!
