URI President Marc Parlange hosted Governor Dan McKee’s weekly coronavirus briefing at the University of Rhode Island on Thursday, September 2nd. The discussion focused on the university’s efforts to keep the community safe through our COVID-19 vaccine policies. Laura Wong (’24), 1st year DPT student, addressed the impact the COVID-19 vaccine has had on getting students back to campus. She thoughtfully explained how hands-on experience and face to face classes allow students to gain the knowledge and skills they need in healthcare practice.
