Applications are now open for the 2024-2025 academic year!

Pre-Health Ambassadors are volunteer leaders within the community of students at URI interested in health careers that have the baccalaureate degree as a requirement for admission. Ambassadors serve as mentors and role models by sharing their experience and tips for success with fellow pre-health students. They work closely with the pre-health professions advisors to provide information to students across campus about resources, admission processes, academic options, and experiential opportunities.

Who should apply?

Current pre-health students from any class who,

• have an academic record consistent with success in their chosen profession’s admission process
• have experiences related to their intended profession, community involvement (on or off campus), and/or research or scholarship
• enjoy helping their fellow students from diverse backgrounds
• possess strong communication skills
• are reliable and able to meet the commitments of the position as noted in the position description
