Jake’s Advice: College is a time to discover yourself. Get involved on- and off-campus as much as you can, make connections with your professors and peers, and don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. Work hard to keep your grades and GPA as high as possible, but don’t let a bad exam score bring you down. With that being said, make time for yourself to decompress every once in a while. URI is an amazing place with so many opportunities if you just put yourself out there, so do it! Everyone is right when they say, “college will fly by,” so make the most of it!
