Kayla Mudge, a 2016 Health Studies graduate and Communications Coordinator at the Hospital Association of Rhode Island (HARI), was recently quoted in the Providence Journal regarding the Governor’s proposed hospital payment cuts in the 2019 state budget.

Kayla has been employed at HARI since her graduation. She was accepted into one of two positions offered by the Hospital Association of Rhode Island (HARI) as a Healthcare Policy and Communications Fellow. Promoted to Communications Coordinator after an eight-month fellowship, Kayla assists in the development and coordination of the association’s comprehensive external communications program, which is designed to carry key messages from HARI members to legislators, business leaders, and other key opinion leaders. This includes writing, editing, and coordinating production of publications, press releases, presentations, and op-eds, as well as preparing speeches and press talking points.
