Ana Talmas ’18 was the recipient of the 2018 Excellence Award for Health Studies. She was selected to receive this award due to her desire to learn and strong initiative in class, on the Action Board.  Ana integrates new ideas quickly and effectively and demonstrates tremendous potential for leadership in health science.  She participated in research work with Drs. Sabik and Cohen and has abstracts under review for the American Public Health Association meeting. Ana also completed an internship with the Rhode Island Department of Health.

Ana will be attending the MPH program at New York University this fall.
