Biography
Dr. Caitlin Nash is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Public Health at the University of Rhode Island. Her teaching and research focus on inclusive pedagogy, cultural competency, and reducing stigma toward marginalized populations, particularly people with substance use disorder and people living with HIV/AIDS. With professional experience spanning clinical research, healthcare policy, and higher education, Dr. Nash brings an interdisciplinary perspective to public health education. Her current research interest includes the use of digital storytelling as a scalable intervention to reduce stigma in healthcare and educational settings, to foster equity and compassion in healthcare delivery.
