New regulations on Conflicts of Interest and Commitment for Investigators receiving, or proposing to receive, funding from the DOE were recently finalized. The regulations may be found at 2 CFR 910 Subpart C and went info effect on August 17, 2026. The disclosure and training requirements differ from the current URI policies. While updates to the URI policies move through the approval process, Investigators who receive or propose to receive funding from the DOE must follow the DOE requirements.
