Facility Access
Access to all animal facilities is tightly controlled via card readers and/or physical keys. The following tasks must be completed in order to secure ID card access to the animal facilities:
- Enrollment in the Research Occupational Health Program.
- Completion of all required CITI online training and EHS training, if applicable.
- Attendance at a monthly CBRC Facility Orientation and Tour. Contact Gwen Currier to register.
- Amendment of the relevant IACUC protocol(s) to include the new personnel.
Once these tasks are complete, email Gwen Currier with the following information:
- Name, department, and project PI
- AN# of IACUC protocol(s)
- Building location(s) to which access is required
Once the Facility Orientation, Research Occupational Health, and IACUC approval are confirmed, ORI will activate the ID card.
Visitor Access
Access to CBRC facilities is limited to personnel who have completed the aforementioned process. Visitors may not enter the facilities without approval and supervision. If you would like to request permission to bring a visitor (e.g., a visiting researcher) to the animal facility, please complete the Visiting Research Request Form.
