Expedited and Exempt Review
As required by the NIH Guidelines, IBC meetings (when possible and consistent with protection of privacy and proprietary interests) are open to the public. Guests are required to notify the Director of Research Integrity prior to the meeting of their desire to attend the meeting. Protocols that do not require full board review may be submitted at any time.
Allow a minimum of four weeks for the review process
Approval will be delayed if application is incomplete or changes are required.
If the protocol is determined to require full board review, the process is likely to take longer.
