Biography

Janet Atyoan holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science from the University of Rhode Island and since graduating in 2006, she worked in multiple research labs at URI gaining experience in molecular biology techniques. Janet started work as a technician in the URI Sequencing Center in 2013, developing their next-generation sequencing service, and was the center manager from 2017 until joining the RI-INBRE Molecularinformatics Core in 2021. Janet continues to offer Sanger and Illumina next-generation sequencing together with genomic DNA and amplicon library preparation.
