Rhode Island Microbiome Symposium 2022 (RIMS 2022)
The Rhode Island Microbiome Symposium 2022 (RIMS 2022) was held virtually on January 14th and brought together 160 experts in the fields of environmental and biomedical microbiome research and microbial ecology.
The symposium featured two keynote speakers:
- Dr. Alvaro Sanchez, Yale University
“Evolutionary engineering of microbial consortia” - Dr. Suzanne Ishaq, the University of Maine
“Microbes at the nexus of environmental, biological, and social research”
Nine additional speakers gave talks in three scientific sessions:
- Host-Associated Microbiomes
- Methods in Microbiome Research
- Environmental Microbiomes and Microbial Ecology
